Bio

All my life I have been an artist. In the third grade I drew Disney characters
on the blackboard for my teacher and classmates. I started to sculpt about the
same time.  While attending graduate school in New York City in the 60’s I began
exhibiting my paintings in Ann Addison’s Gallery on the East Side.  In 1990 I
began to paint full time. My art mentors include: Michael Burban at the Art
Students League and Flora Giffuni, Pastel Society of America (PSA) at the
National Arts Club in New York City. After art studies in Miami and New York I
moved to Santa Fe, NM to serve a three year apprenticeship in the classic
European tradition with master artist Albert Handell. My first entry into the
PSA N.Y. show garnered a national award and  I became a signature member. I continue  to study the works and words of the masters. I paint with my fellow artists who have all made substantial contributions to my attempt to reach new levels of seeing and to my bliss – the process of painting that brings beauty into the
world.
